iPhone users have great difficulties to synchronize with Windows 7. In particular, 64-bit Windows 7 systems, based on P55 chipset.
The iPhone is usually always recognized, but iTunes from an “unknown error”, usually 0xE8000065.
Disabling USB power management seems to be a solution.
Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and press [Enter] to start Device Manager, then click
View> Devices By Type. Expand the Universal Serial Bus Controllers, click USB Root Hub each item in turn, select Properties> Power Management and uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.
Restart your PC and try again. This works for 80% of the time,
